Consultation 2021: Connections – Public Transport

1/2

The pedestrian and cycle network will be supported by strong public transport links, connecting West of Ifield to the surrounding area through priority routes and the first phase of the Crawley Western Link.

West of Ifield will be fully integrated into the surrounding public transport network with fast, frequent and reliable bus journeys from centrally located transport hubs providing for short journeys to key destinations.

Each transport hub will be located alongside segregated or prioritised bus links and will provide an interchange with bike storage, e-charging and other supporting facilities.

Improved pedestrian, cycle and public transport connections will also be made to Ifield Station, providing regular connections to Horsham, Crawley, Gatwick and London.

We will also introduce a parking strategy which provides a mix of on-street, off-street and on-plot parking spaces with the ability to re-purpose spaces in the future to address anticipated changes in car ownership patterns and usage.
